A 100-person team, and nobody who wanted to be the face
GoMage publishes serious educational content about Adobe Commerce, Magento, and eCommerce platform choices. The material is deeply technical, the vocabulary is unforgiving, and nobody on a 100-person engineering team wanted to be the recurring face of the channel. Their earlier explainers were fronted by in-house team members, and consistency suffered.
The brief was specific: a presenter who could carry Magento jargon naturally, film remotely on their schedule, and hand back footage their own editors controlled.
Their scripts, their edit, my performance: raw footage with pronunciation notes
This is a raw-footage engagement. GoMage wrote the scripts as Google Docs, complete with pronunciation notes for the platform jargon, and I filmed 4K raw footage in my studio, usually within a day or two of script approval. One video I had already filmed before the contract was even issued. Their team edited, branded, and published everything.
Four contracts ran between April 2022 and mid-2024. Along the way their editors recut my 2022 footage into nine Shorts a full year later, which is exactly what the raw-footage model is for: they own the material and keep extracting value from it.
"We were more than happy to work with Eric. He's extremely responsible and highly professional. He also always adjusts his work according to feedback we provide. Everything goes smooth with Eric and the result fully meets our expectations."
GoMage team. via verified client review (5 stars)The #5 video the channel has ever posted, and 70% of the era views
The anchor is the Shopify Plus vs Adobe Commerce comparison: 8,750 views on a channel with 1,230 subscribers, checked August 2026. That makes it the #5 video of the 86 long-forms the channel has ever published, at 4.2 times the all-time median, and the #1 organic video of its era. The Adobe Commerce features explainer sits at #7 all-time with 7,595 views.
During the two years of this engagement, every long-form the channel posted used hired presenter footage, and my 6 videos took 70 percent of the era long-form views from 55 percent of its uploads. After the engagement ended and the channel moved to lower-budget content, its long-form median fell to double digits. Their content manager confirmed to us in writing that when the channel posted regularly it produced results, including clients attracted directly through YouTube.
Three contracts closed with written five-star reviews, and the CEO submitted a direct testimonial on top. The client confirmed YouTube brought them clients directly; the specific lead numbers stay with GoMage. If your content is technical and your team edits in-house, this is the model built for it.
