UGC Video Ads

UGC-style ads that look like
a person, because they are.

Selfie-style video ads for B2B brands, presented by a real, professional spokesperson. The native feel that wins the feed, from someone with 1,000+ videos behind him. Not marketplace UGC. Not an AI avatar, ever.

What it is

UGC is a format, not an amateur.

UGC-style ads borrow the look of a real person talking to a phone: handheld framing, natural light, direct address. In the feed, that look doesn't read as an ad until the viewer is already listening.

The mistake is assuming the format needs an amateur. It needs someone who can make a script sound unscripted, land a hook in two seconds, and do it eleven more ways for testing. That is a performance skill. It is the difference between an ad that converts and one that just looks cheap.

Synthetic UGC, an AI avatar reading the script, fails for one reason. The whole premise of UGC is a real person vouching for something. Remove the person and you keep the casual look while losing the only thing that made it work.

What you actually get

Hooks, variations,
and enough of them to test.

Paid social does not reward one perfect ad. It rewards a library you can iterate against.

HHooks

Multiple hooks per concept

The first two seconds decide everything. Each concept ships with several distinct openings so you can find which framing stops the scroll before you spend budget scaling the wrong one.

  • Distinct hook per variation
  • Same core script beneath
  • Cut for cold audiences
FFormats

Vertical, square, landscape

One shoot, every aspect ratio your placements need. Vertical for Reels and TikTok, square for feed, landscape for YouTube and LinkedIn, all framed at capture rather than cropped badly afterwards.

  • 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9
  • Framed at capture, not cropped
  • Captions burned in
VVolume

Enough variations to iterate

Electric Heroes ran 22 ad variations across three campaigns. GNO Partners took 37 multi-format ads plus a VSL. Volume is what makes testing possible.

  • Batch produced in one session
  • Consistent presenter across all
  • Named and organized for upload
Why a professional beats a real customer

The awkward truth about
authentic content.

In theory, UGC comes from real users. In B2B it rarely can. Your customers are busy professionals. They won't film eleven hook variations, won't reshoot when the offer changes, and can't appear in paid media without a licensing conversation their legal team will slow down.

A professional presenter performs the format and is contractually clear from day one. You get the native feel, the speed, and clear usage rights when you scale spend.

Fyntra had been running AI-generated ads. Then a real presenter joined the campaign: 22 quality leads in 7 days, at $5 to $6 a lead. That is a 4x lift over their AI-only ads. Same team, same funnel, one new ingredient: a real person on camera.

How it runs

One shoot. A library of ads.

1. Offer and angles

We start with the number the ad has to move and the angles worth testing. You bring the offer. I bring opinions on which hooks survive a cold feed.

2. Scripts and hooks

Our team writes short scripts with several hooks per concept. You approve every word before we film.

3. One session

I film every variation in one session, framed for all three aspect ratios at capture, not cropped later.

4. Delivered ready to upload

Captioned, named and organized by concept and format, so your media buyer can load them without a meeting.

What to expect

Ads decay. Plan for it.

Paid social creative has a shelf life. Frequency climbs, the audience stops responding, and cost per result drifts up. The teams that stay stable have new creative queued before the drop, not commissioned in a panic after it.

So we build around variation count, not one hero ad. BusinessLoans.com is the exception: one ad held positive ROAS for over six months and became the highest performing ad in the company's history. That happens. It is not a plan.

Running paid social all year? Plan creative refresh on a cadence, not as an emergency.

Questions

UGC video ad questions, answered

Who will my spokesperson be?

Usually Eric. VideoRep is built around him as the lead spokesperson. If your category, style or schedule calls for a different face, Eric casts from a small roster of presenters he trusts. Either way, you meet and approve your spokesperson before you sign, and the face is named in the agreement.

Is this real UGC if it uses a professional presenter?

It is UGC-style, and we say so plainly. The framing and delivery follow UGC conventions because they perform. The performer is a professional, which is what makes eleven variations, fast reshoots and clean paid-media licensing possible. If you need a real customer of yours on camera, that is a testimonial, and we don't make those.

Why not use an AI avatar for UGC ads?

In the edit bay, AI is useful. On screen, never. The whole logic of UGC is a real person vouching for something. Fyntra saw a 4x lift over their AI-only ads once a real presenter joined the campaign.

How many variations do we actually need?

Enough to find a winner and then keep feeding the account. Electric Heroes took 22 across three campaigns. GNO Partners took 37 plus a VSL. If you are testing seriously, think in tens rather than ones.

Do you write the scripts?

Usually our team writes them. Plenty of teams arrive with a script and just need it performed, which is fine. If it is written for the page rather than the camera, I'll say what I'd change before we shoot.

Can we use the footage in paid ads?

Yes, that is the point. Use on the campaign it was made for is covered, and so are shorts and snippets from the same campaign. TV, film and radio need a separate license. No AI duplication of the presenter's likeness or voice, no voice manipulation, and the footage is never used to train AI.

How quickly can we have them?

Days, not weeks. We agree the schedule on the fit call. Fyntra had four presenter-led ads delivered in 48 hours.
