FES Institute needed a real production, not a webcam pass

FES Institute (the rebrand of Front End Simplified) teaches HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to career switchers heading into front-end roles. Their existing course content was getting feedback from students that the videos felt rushed and didn't carry the warmth of a real teacher. Mohammed Zreika, the customer service lead, wanted to invest in a real production for the next module rollout instead of patching it with another stop-gap.

The brief wasn't a quick shoot. It was a course library: a full HTML crash course, a follow-on CSS crash course, and a Black Friday ad on the back of it. Same presenter across every video so students would associate one face with the FES brand all the way through the curriculum.

One full-day set build, 45+ videos shot in two modules

I booked an external space and built the set from scratch for the day. Books on shelves, branded mugs, branded stickers (Mohammed sourced the brand props mid-vacation and shipped them to me), professional studio lighting, and a videographer I personally sourced and brought in for the day. The shoot ran across the entire HTML crash course in a single full-day session. Module one shipped at roughly 20 videos. The team liked it enough that they came back for module two: the CSS crash course at roughly 25 more videos. Same set, same presenter, same lighting setup so the courses read as one continuous library.

After both modules shipped, FES came back a third time for a Black Friday ad on the back of the established brand voice. That kept the partnership compounding past the initial course library.

A full course library that reads as one continuous teacher

FES Institute now has a 45+ video course library across HTML and CSS, all carrying the same on-camera presence, the same brand-styled set, and the same teacher tone. The follow-on Black Friday ad rode on the back of that established brand. Specific student-engagement and conversion outcomes from the course launches are pending FES's pull from their LMS and ad-platform data.

E-Learning FAQ

How is E-Learning different from Product Videos?

E-Learning is structured course production: module lessons, training series, certifications, LMS-ready exports. Product Videos are demos and tutorials inside the product experience. Different audiences, different completion expectations.

Why presenter-led E-Learning?

Completion rates. A real human on screen keeps learners watching and finishing in a way faceless screen-recordings and AI avatars never have. The expert voice is the product.

What LMS exports does VideoRep support?

LMS-ready formats for Thinkific, Teachable, Mighty Networks, Kajabi, and internal LMSes. We deliver the masters and the platform-specific cuts.

What's the typical scope of an E-Learning engagement?

From short module sets (HBA's training videos) to enterprise series (OptiMonk's 30+ educational videos). We scope to the curriculum, not to a generic package.

Can VideoRep produce E-Learning for our B2B SaaS company?

Yes. Book a free strategy call. We review your curriculum, identify the highest-leverage modules to film first, and ship a pilot module before scaling.
